Job Summary
Process accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees in union and non-union populations, applying wage rates, shift differentials, and overtime per collective bargaining agreements. Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, and retirement plans while managing enrollments, open enrollment, and vendor file feeds. Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS, support onboarding and offboarding, and resolve discrepancies in payroll reports. Serve as a primary contact for employee benefit inquiries and coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance with COBRA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of payroll experience, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, and occasional travel to other locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience, preferably supporting a union workforce
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and benefits compliance
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems- ADP workforce preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Occasional Travel to other locations required
- Manufacturing or distribution environment experience
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements
- CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification
- Bilingual in both English & Spanish
