Job Summary
Review new hire submissions in UKG Pro for complete documentation and verify payroll code setups prior to bi-weekly processing. Monitor daily time and attendance approvals in AirTable and UKG Pro, then execute regular payroll, bonuses, and bank direct deposits via RBC. Manage employee self-service inquiries, guide portal usage, and issue Records of Employment within statutory deadlines. Administer the ICBA group benefits plan, calculate eligibility, process terminations, and report to the BC Financial Services Authority. Calculate and remit monthly CRA source deductions, quarterly EHT filings, and WorkSafeBC reports for BC and Alberta jurisdictions. Reconcile GL accounts between UKG Pro and Sage Intacct, deliver variance reports to the Controller, and maintain audit-ready personnel files. Assist with recruitment logistics, coordinate onboarding documentation, and support HR special projects and community events.
Required Qualifications
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation (or active enrollment with imminent completion)
- Minimum 3+ years of direct Canadian full-cycle payroll processing experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting HR administration and benefits programs
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline
- Deep understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, Employment Standards Acts, CRA regulations, EHT, and provincial workers' compensation systems (BC and AB)
- High Emotional Intelligence: Exceptional discretion, empathy, and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial, HR, and personal data
- Self-Direction & Performance Drive: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, consistently meeting or exceeding strict deadlines and operational deliverables
- Distributed Workforce Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of supporting and collaborating seamlessly across remote, office-based, and operational field teams

Desired Qualifications
- Specific accounting coursework
- Hands-on experience with UKG Pro (Payroll/HRIS) and Sage Intacct (or similar enterprise ERPs)
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, AirTable, Google Workspace, RBC Direct Banking, and ROE Web
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with Indigenous taxation protocols, Status Card processing, and TD1N filing requirements
