Job Summary
Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately using Dayforce, reviewing timecards and reconciling accounts while ensuring compliance with employment standards and tax regulations. Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans by coordinating enrollments, liaising with carriers, and processing terminations. Maintain accurate HRIS records, perform system audits, and generate reports for leadership. Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding eligibility and coverage, delivering confidential, customer-focused service throughout the employee lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- 3–5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Dayforce (Ceridian Dayforce)
- Payroll compliance knowledge
- Strong understanding of employee benefit administration
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or equivalent
- Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation is considered an asset
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience supporting multiple locations
- Knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. payroll legislation
- HRIS implementation or systems administration experience
