Job Summary
Payroll & Benefits Administrator (Maternity Leave Contract) is a full-time role responsible for biweekly payroll processing in Dayforce, benefits administration including enrollments/changes, and HR administration support. The position emphasizes payroll reconciliations, year-end duties (T4s, ROEs), benefits plan administration (RRSP, RESP, FHSA, DPSP), leave management, reporting, and collaboration with HR and Health & Safety initiatives, with duties apportioned around payroll (~45%), benefits (~35%), and HR administration (~25%). The role requires a college diploma or higher in HR or related field, 2+ years payroll processing experience, 1+ year benefits administration experience, Dayforce proficiency, and strong regulatory knowledge. The work arrangement is hybrid (on-site once a week at 115 Saulter Street, Toronto, ON), with a July 2026 – February 2028 contract timeline and annual compensation in CAD.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma, certification, or university degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Minimum 1 year of benefits administration experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps
- Experience with payroll, benefits, and HRIS software (Dayforce experience required)
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance
- PCP certification is an asset
