Job Summary
Load and validate supplemental pay requests, process exception items, and resolve audit findings within established service level agreements. Review timekeeping records, manually calculate wages for temporary work and bonuses, and maintain employee records in the HRIS system. Respond to inquiries regarding deductions and compensation changes while performing ad hoc queries and developing scenario-based audit reports. Write test scripts and execute assigned project duties to support departmental goals. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of FLSA and federal/state laws, and one year of extensive payroll experience. Salary range $58,300.00 - $97,100.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma & 4 years of related education, i.e.: business or accounting and/or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
- Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
- Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must posses a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines
- Perform basic payroll calculations
- Operating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
- 1 year of experience involving extensive payroll duties
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional Certification [2 year completion requirement]
- Project team member SAP experience
- Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment
