Job Summary
Payroll Apprentice role supporting the Payroll team with monthly payroll processing, data entry (starters, leavers, changes), payroll checks and reporting, responding to payroll queries, and assisting with payroll compliance and governance. You’ll learn payroll systems, legislation, and HMRC processes while completing a Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship, with dedicated training. The programme leads to a Payroll Officer position, offering a clear pathway into payroll, finance or HR within a mission-driven charity. The role involves home-based work in England with occasional travel to the London Embassy Gardens office and works within a team-focused, professional environment with opportunities for progression and development.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to complete Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship (via GOV.UK link)
- GCSE Maths and English at level 4 (or equivalent)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good organisation and time management
- Confidential information handling
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
