Job Summary
Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Oversee the complete payroll process, including calculating wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions, while maintaining updated records and preparing reports for management. Administer employee benefits programs, handling enrollments, terminations, and inquiries regarding healthcare, 401K, and tuition reimbursement. Collaborate with HR and finance to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and support year-end activities like W-2 preparation. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on plan provisions, status changes, and leave-of-absence requests, ensuring adherence to FMLA and ADA implications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
- Minimum of at least 5 years of proven experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and benefits administration
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform complex numerical calculations
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels

- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential
