Job Summary
Senior Payroll Analyst responsible for end-to-end APJ payroll operations across multiple countries from our Bangalore office. Lead end-to-end monthly payroll processing, validate Workday data, manage statutory obligations, coordinate with in-country vendors/MSPs, and perform GL postings and reconciliations. Drive automation and digital transformation using AI/RPA, build KPI dashboards (Power BI/Excel), and ensure GDPR/PDPA and local privacy compliance. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to deliver accurate, timely payroll and support year-end filings. Strong Excel, Workday, and payroll-continuity mindset required; English fluency with preference for APJ language skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- 3+ years of APJ multi-country payroll
- Demonstrable knowledge of APJ statutory frameworks (Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, etc.)
- Experience managing in-country vendors and MSPs
- Hands-on experience with a global payroll platform (e.g. ADP Celergo, CloudPay, Papaya Global, Deel, Ramco)
- Proficiency in Workday or equivalent HRIS; familiarity with Workday payroll reports and data extracts is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, Power Query)
- Experience building dashboards (Power BI or equivalent)
- Strong English communication; additional APJ language skills advantageous
- Knowledge of GDPR, PDPA and local data privacy laws for APJ payroll
- Ability to drive process improvements and automation (RPA, AI tools)
- Willingness to work in an in-office Bangalore environment
- Experience with month-end close, accruals, and intercompany recharges
- Payroll certifications are a plus (CPP, FPC)
- Experience with equity-related payroll inputs (RSU, ESPP) a plus
- Experience with payroll audits and reconciliations
- Experience with onboarding/off-cycle payments and tax/withholding compliance
