Payroll Analyst - Multi-state

Job Summary

Process multi-state payrolls by verifying time and attendance records, calculating gross pay, overtime, deductions, and taxes, and reconciling data feeds to internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including tax withholding and wage and hour regulations. Investigate discrepancies, resolve employee inquiries, and support audits by providing documentation. Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Benefits to manage data integrity and assist with system implementations and process improvements. Participate in year-end activities, including W-2 preparation and tax reporting. Hybrid schedule in Pittsburgh with three days on-site.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of payroll experience as an administrator or analyst in a multi-state environment
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll processes, payroll taxation, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements for multi-state and multi-jurisdictional payroll environments
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion
