Job Summary
Payroll Analyst at Grande Fond du Lac focuses on end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing across multi-state regulations, ensuring timely, accurate payroll and strict confidentiality. Collaborates with HR, Finance, and auditors to resolve issues, supports payroll accounting, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close, and drives process improvements and automation opportunities. Requires a 4-year degree and 3+ years of progressive payroll experience; strong knowledge of payroll regulations, UKG experience preferred; emphasizes data integrity, collaboration, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or other related field required. An equivalency may be considered.
- 3+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms, UKG preferred
- Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Associates and external stakeholders
- Ability to influence and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes and drive process improvements
- High level of professionalism with a strong commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and safeguard payroll and Associate data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional designation is preferred.
