Job Summary
Payroll Advisor for People & Culture focusing on end-to-end payroll execution and compliance across biweekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles; leverage SAP payroll, oversee T4 and Relevé 1 programs, maintain process documentation, and collaborate with internal partners and external stakeholders including government agencies to ensure adherence to SOX and provincial/federal regulations; requires strong payroll expertise, data protection, and ability to deliver insights and governance across Canada; role supports Total Rewards operations within TELUS Canada and involves acting as a Trusted Advisor within P&C Operations.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree or college diploma in Business
- 5+ years of payroll and compliance experience in federal and provincial environments
- Experience with Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec
- Proficiency with Excel and SAP HR/Finance modules
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail
- PCP designation
- Nice-to-haves: bilingual English/French, unionized environment experience
