Job Summary
Payroll Advisor responsible for accurate, on-time payroll processing and compliance. Acts as liaison between employees, internal teams, and third-party payroll vendors to ensure policy alignment and data integrity. Audits pay records by department, location, and country; coordinates third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades; interprets pay policies across vacation, leaves, disability, workers’ compensation, union contracts, and government regulations. Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws; identifies automation opportunities using Excel macros, VBA, and RPA to streamline processes; communicates complex payroll information to stakeholders; supports global payroll initiatives and cross-border compliance in a hybrid-friendly, globally oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in processing payroll and operations
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as RPA, ADP, EY payroll
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (including macros)
- Thorough understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll systems, and ticketing/incident management platforms (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate effectively at various management levels
