Job Summary
Payroll Administrator responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly US payroll across multiple states and Canadian payroll, auditing timekeeping, managing deductions and withholdings, reconciling benefit withholdings, handling leave accruals, responding to employee pay questions, assisting with payroll tax filings, and year-end W-2 processing, while staying current on payroll laws and maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or payroll certification
- 2–5 years of multi-state payroll or bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and multi-state tax requirements
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in payroll systems (Deltek VantagePoint experience preferred, but not required) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret and apply payroll regulations and policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- After an offer of employment is made, must pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, and DMV records check; valid driver’s license required
