Job Summary
Payroll Administrator at Vacatia responsible for end-to-end weekly payroll across multiple entities in a high-volume, multi-state environment. Leverages Paylocity and proprietary systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient payroll processing. Partners with HR, Finance, and Operations to resolve discrepancies, develop audit-ready reports, and support tax filings. Requires advanced Excel skills and deep knowledge of wage-and-hour laws, payroll compliance, and best practices. Remote role within Eastern or Central time zones, focusing on scalable payroll processes for a hospitality-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity; or similar systems (ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, Paycor) with additional proprietary systems preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested formulas, data validation, reconciliation)
- Deep understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll compliance, and best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to confidentiality and precision
