Job Summary
Payroll Administrator responsible for full-cycle payroll processing for 800–1,000 employees using UKG, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. Heavy focus on processing varied payroll components (hourly, salary, bonuses, commissions, and deductions), maintaining payroll data integrity, preparing reports, and supporting a high-volume environment. Role includes onboarding/training during initial onsite period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) post-training, and providing service-oriented support to employees and internal partners. Key duties include processing new hires/terminations, W-4 changes, direct deposits, garnishments, timecard reviews, month-end GL reporting, journal entries, and system enhancements testing; requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll principles and practices
- Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment
- UKG experience preferred
- Experience with wage garnishments preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
