Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payroll by inputting timesheets, verifying employee data, and reconciling accounts while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Generate, submit withholding payments, and prepare quarterly 941 and annual W-2 reports for vendors and agencies. Monitor garnishment inquiries, manage leave accruals, and resolve payroll system errors or software configuration issues. Collaborate with Human Resources to coordinate enrollments and terminations, and provide accurate payroll information to supervisors and employees.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- Equivalent experience of two years payroll preparation
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position
- Prior experience in a similar position for two to three years
- Professional level of increasingly responsible experience in full-cycle payroll administration
- Familiarity of complex integrated payroll/accounting systems
- Ability to successfully pass a background check process which includes reference checks and criminal history checks
