Job Summary
Manage bi-weekly multi-state payroll using ADP Time and Attendance and Workforce Now; administer the timekeeping system; process new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions; calculate wages, overtime, retro payments, and payroll corrections; handle payroll inquiries; distribute payroll reports; prepare and file payroll-related government reporting; maintain confidential payroll system and GL accounts; perform GL analyses and accruals; ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and GAAP; maintain SOPs and propose improvements; take a leadership role in payroll procedures; collaborate with managers and employees to resolve payroll issues. Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major
- Previous payroll processing experience
- At least two-years’ experience in a payroll/finance/accounting role
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge of ADP payroll processing and Workforce Now
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong sense of self-motivation
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting cycle
- Previous Microsoft Office experience with intermediate skill level in Excel and Word
- Previous Great Plains experience a plus
- Payroll certification a plus
