Payments Specialist

Job Summary
Execute timely and accurate payments on behalf of clients, ensuring correctness of payment instructions, intermediary banks, and terms. Oversee junior payment team members while coordinating with accountants, corporate secretaries, and external stakeholders such as lawyers and notaries. Process transactions diligently in accordance with internal procedures and AML regulations, liaising with banks to manage online access, execution issues, and account balances. Act as the key customer contact for payments, developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist in designing updated payment preparation frameworks, train new joiners on operations, and contribute to process efficiency by strengthening supporting documents and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Masters' degree in economics, business administration, Finance or similar
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in payment transaction processing
- Experience in supervising and overseeing team deliverables
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Structured way of working
- Fluency in English
- Ability to set priorities
- Ability to be flexible
- Highly accurate
- Ability to work autonomously and within teams
- Background check clearance (criminal record extract not older than three months)
Desired Qualifications
- Further system knowledge e.g. SWIFT, treasury platforms, etc.
- Additional languages of French and/or German
- Experience contributing to the development of best practices and process efficiency
- Experience strengthening supporting documents, policies and procedures
- Experience in payment process development, projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
