Job Summary
Senior Associate Business Analyst in Payments Regulatory Reporting within the Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Operations team. Responsible for analyzing regulations to identify EMEA reporting requirements and products in scope; collaborating with Technology and Product partners; leading business analysis for reporting obligations using Waterfall and Agile best practices; gathering, validating, and owning BRDs, defining acceptance criteria, performing testing, and raising user stories; identifying process improvements and risk mitigation solutions to strengthen controls; conducting stakeholder walkthroughs to articulate reporting requirements; executing data analysis, preparing reports, and managing regulatory submissions; preparing SOPs, documenting changes, and maintaining Confluence wiki content; participating in department continuous improvement initiatives; communicating effectively with senior stakeholders on status, progress, issues, and blockers; proactively self-learning and investigating product designs, systems, and payment flows.
Required Qualifications
- Min. 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Proficient in English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from different departments and areas of expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze data and translate technical information into clear business reports
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a structured approach
- Demonstrated leadership, responsibility, analytical skills, and self-motivation
- Preferred qualifications: knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, or Python; additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian; experience with JIRA and Confluence; familiarity with payment systems such as ACH, SEPA, RTP, Wires, and demand deposit accounts
- Previous experience in regulatory reporting, business analysis, or process automation within financial services
