Job Summary
Merchant Services Business Development VP responsible for leading end-to-end merchant services opportunities within JPMorgan Payments across software/SaaS, direct-to-consumer tech, and fintech sub-verticals. Partner with bank coverage, Treasury Services, Product, Pricing, Legal, and Risk to develop account plans, tailor proposals and RFP responses, and structure deals. Conduct market and competitive research, collaborate to deliver payment solutions, maintain pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, and provide executive updates. Travel up to 50%. Key skills include strategic sales, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and strong written/verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in a customer-facing merchant services, acquiring, or payments role
- Experience with strategic sales practices including buyer mapping and influence building
- Demonstrated ability to learn in new and fast-paced environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to synthesize information and present clearly
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with ability to work across functions and cultures
- Familiarity with software, direct-to-consumer technology, and B2B payment flows, including card-not-present, ecommerce, omnichannel, recurring/subscription billing, marketplaces, and tokenization
- Working knowledge of pricing and economics (interchange and assessments), risk and fraud, chargebacks, and disputes
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams on complex sales pursuits
