Job Summary
Business development role within JPMorgan Chase’s Merchant Services Payments Sales team, focused on supporting high-profile merchant clients, developing end-to-end payment solutions, and advancing opportunities through cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include crafting account and call plans, preparing proposals and RFP responses, coordinating with product, pricing, legal, and risk teams, conducting market and competitive research, maintaining pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, building dashboards in Excel, and tracking progress toward goals. Travel up to 25%. Required capabilities include customer-facing experience in payments, strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, familiarity with software and D2B payments, and understanding of pricing/economics, risk, and fraud; preferred experience with Salesforce and Excel, and exposure to enterprise-level technology clients.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in a customer-facing merchant services, acquiring, or payments role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with ability to work across functions
- Familiarity with software, direct-to-consumer technology, and B2B payment flows, including card-not-present, ecommerce, omnichannel, recurring/subscription billing, marketplaces, and tokenization
- Working knowledge of pricing and economics (such as interchange and assessments), risk and fraud, chargebacks, and disputes
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams on complex sales pursuits
