Job Summary
AVP, Payments Investigations oversees the payment investigations lifecycle, escalation point, and the resolution of queries, breaks, and exceptions across correspondent banking networks. Works with the Head of Global Markets Operations to oversee training, development, and performance of the team. Responsibilities include managing Nostro reconciliation items, ensuring timely resolution and escalation, ensuring compliance with internal controls, producing regular reporting, managing relationships with correspondent banks, allocating workload as SME, and driving root cause analysis, automation, and efficiency improvements. Requires 7+ years in Payments/Investigations, SWIFT knowledge, strong risk/control focus, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities. Required Qualifications
- Educated to A level standard or similar demonstrable experience
- Technical: Payments lifecycle, SWIFT formatting knowledge, Nostro reconciliation, Investigations process
- Leadership: Stakeholder engagement, decision-making, team supervision
- Risk: Strong control focus and attention to detail
- 7 years+ experience in a Payments or Investigations related role
- Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders within a global network of banks.
