Job Summary
Senior Associate in Payments Change & Transformation responsible for hands-on payments operations and regulatory reporting transformation. Owns requirements and delivery across report automation, platform rollouts, migrations, and adoption of intelligent automation (AI/ML) in partnership with Technology and Data Science. Acts as SME for payments operations, identifies pain points and risks, bridges Operations, Technology, and Compliance, assesses regulatory change impacts, leads end-to-end change lifecycles (requirements, UAT, cutover, stabilization), and ensures data quality, controls, and regulatory compliance while engaging vendors as needed. Builds governance and stakeholder relationships, drives change with minimal BAU disruption, and demonstrates strong understanding of payments processing lifecycles, regulatory reporting obligations, and relevant platforms/tools (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022, RegTech, AxiomSL/OneSumX/Regnology). Preferred exposure to AI/ML and automation tools, with a degree in Finance/Business/Economics/Technology or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in Operations within a top-tier investment bank, global bank, or major financial institution
- Hands-on experience in payments operations and/or regulatory reporting operations
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payments processing lifecycles
- Experience with clearing and settlement processes
- Experience with reconciliation and exception management (break investigation/resolution)
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting obligations and frameworks relevant to financial institutions
- Working knowledge of payments systems and messaging standards (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022) and related market infrastructure
- Proven track record in operational change/transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Strong delivery and execution skills: managing multiple workstreams and priorities; experience with Agile/Waterfall/hybrid methods
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
