Job Summary
Post and balance all payments received in Lockbox via ERA or EOBs from Remedics or Clearing House, logging daily balances in division spreadsheets. Track patient credits, process refunds, and perform approved adjustments from RCM teams or Divisions. Stay current on payer policies and coverage guidelines while identifying and resolving billing complaints from staff, patients, and insurance companies. Participate in revenue cycle meetings and process improvement initiatives. Requires 2-3 years in medical billing and familiarity with EHR platforms. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in medical billing
- Familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Experience with practice management systems and EHR platforms
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including, but not limited to Word and Excel
