Job Summary

Senior Manager, Payments & Cards Compliance at Ebury is responsible for leading first-line regulatory oversight across UK and EU jurisdictions (UK and EU/EEA) including PSD2/PSR, EMD2, FCA rules, SEPA schemes, EU Instant Payments Regulation, DORA considerations, and card schemes. The role involves acting as the primary SME for payments and cards, advising product and engineering teams, managing a Payments & Cards Compliance Analyst, coordinating across regulators (FCA, NBB, DNB, Banco de España) and banking partners, guiding regulatory change, and ensuring robust governance, risk reporting, and cross-jurisdictional alignment. The position is based in London with a hybrid working pattern (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and is open across the UK and Europe (London, Madrid, Brussels). You will translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for product and engineering teams, oversee launches and changes, support audits, and contribute to the compliance governance framework while collaborating with legal, operations, and risk teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in a payments compliance, product compliance, or regulatory advisory role at a regulated fintech, payment institution, e-money institution, or bank
