Job Summary
As a Payment Terminal Software Engineer on the TRANSAXpay team, you will develop and enhance software running in Chip and PIN payment terminals, design solution enhancements, diagnose and fix problems, and guide other developers. You will gain deep understanding of the payment terminal solution architecture, collaborate with testing to ensure robust payments experiences, and work across geographically distributed resources, including Birmingham, UK-based hybrid operations and remote workers. The role emphasizes payments industry knowledge, terminal software development, cross-team collaboration, and building reliable payment solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in payment terminal software development
- Understanding of the Payments industry and awareness of the businesses operating in it.
- Ability to work with and coordinate both local and remote resources.
- Familiarity with Windows, Unix, Oracle Databases and SQL.
