Payment Processing Specialist

In-office Payment Processing Specialist role handling pre-service payments, post-service payments, insurance verification, and account reconciliation in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include collecting and processing patient payments (co-pays, deductibles, self-pay), posting payments, reconciling daily batches, reviewing insurance eligibility, and communicating with patients about financial obligations. Ensures HIPAA and PCI-DSS compliance, maintains secure handling of financial documents, and uses practice management software (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) for transactions and reporting. Requires attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and excellent communication for patient inquiries. Involves working in Playa Vista, CA, with an in-office arrangement and opportunities to utilize Excel for reconciliation tasks. Preferred qualifications include CPB/CMRS credentials and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing; bilingual ability is a plus.
