Job Summary

Oversee daily payment posting, reconciliation, and cash management functions, ensuring accurate and timely posting of insurance, patient, electronic, lockbox, EFT, ERA, and third-party payments. Supervise staff and manage vendor partners while reviewing adjustments, write-offs, and payment corrections within established authority limits. Conduct cash reconciliations against bank deposits, lockbox reports, and practice management records, investigating variances and maintaining audit logs. Partner with Finance, Patient Access, and AR Follow-Up teams to resolve unapplied cash and ensure compliance with internal controls. Complete month-end cash balancing, prepare leadership reports, and develop departmental policies and productivity benchmarks.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in payment posting, cash management, or revenue cycle operations

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in a large multi-specialty or physician group practice
  • OB/GYN specialty experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Payment posting workflows
  • Extensive knowledge of ERA/EFT processing
  • Extensive knowledge of Lockbox operations
  • Extensive knowledge of Cash reconciliation
  • Extensive knowledge of Revenue cycle management
  • Extensive knowledge of Medical billing and collections
  • Extensive knowledge of Contractual adjustments
  • Extensive knowledge of Credit balance management
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care reimbursement methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
  • Experience with practice management and electronic health record systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
