Job Summary
Develop ongoing professional relationships with key decision makers in reference laboratories, health systems, and payer organizations to ensure access to medical and scientific information on the oncology product portfolio. Develop strategic account plans in partnership with Medical Affairs teams and execute medical activities aligned with agreed plans. Serve as the primary resource for market dynamics within the territory to understand evolving information needs and coordinate with the Regional Medical Scientific Director on scientific support needs. Attend and support scientific and medical meetings while preparing post-meeting deliverables. This role covers the US states of MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX, and NM, requiring up to 50% travel. Candidates must reside within the territory and hold an MD, PharmD, or PhD with relevant field-based Medical Affairs experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum MD, PharmD, PhD
- 3 years of dedicated experience in a field-based MA role working with reference labs, regional and/or national payers, integrated delivery systems, or scientific leaders OR 5 years of clinical experience working within a health system OR the equivalent
- Experience with organized healthcare system(s) or payer organization(s), including ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with key decision makers
- Thorough knowledge of biomarkers/diagnostics used in oncology and how they overlay with clinical medicine, the managed market environment, disease management, and medical research
- Thorough knowledge of oncology precision medicine/biomarkers/diagnostics and how this overlays with clinical medicine, healthcare delivery system structure and function, and healthcare delivery policy and trends
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to network, strong personal integrity, collaborative mindset, and a strong customer focus
- Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
- Demonstrable project leadership abilities
- Candidates must reside within the territory
- Ability for travel up to 50% within the territory
- Valid Driving License
Desired Qualifications
- Field-based medical experience working within precision medicine
- Research experience in an academic or industry setting, co-authorship on manuscripts highly desirable in the areas of immunology, cancer biology, or other related disciplines
- Formal training in health economics and/or outcomes research
