Job Summary
Examine chicken paws on a conveyor belt to identify quality issues such as mangling, discoloration, or excess skin and nails. Sort and discard paws that do not meet quality standards, placing unsalvageable ones into a designated condemn barrel. Accurately weigh and pack raw chicken paws into boxes, ensuring the correct amounts for shipping. Perform additional tasks or assume alternate roles within or outside the department as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and protocols. Work Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm at a rate of $18.75 with on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Strong work ethic with a focus on reliability, honesty, and moral character
- Cooperative and team-oriented mindset for effective collaboration with supervisors and coworkers
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures (approximately 45°F to 80°F) and humidity levels
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform repetitive tasks
- Exposure to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels, CO2, and moving production equipment
- Lifting of up to 45 lbs
- Adhere strictly to company and departmental safety policies
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in the poultry industry or a similar production environment is a plus
