Paving/Roller Operator

Operate the roller machine on road construction projects; perform daily checks on equipment and maintain proper operating condition; grease and inspect fluids, keep equipment clean and secured; level earth to fine grade specifications; assist with pre-run markings and use a paving lute to fine grade before roller compacts; operate vibratory plate as needed; shovel asphalt as required; direct traffic around work area; adhere to OSHA and H&K safety policies; demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions; meet physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds; preferred high school diploma or GED and four years of experience with roller machines on highway road construction projects; OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
