Job Summary

The Senior Paving Construction Inspector will oversee various work elements in asphalt shimming, milling, reclaiming, filling, compacting, drainage improvements, striping, and other incidental items for urban and rural pavement rehabilitation or preservation projects with values ranging from $1-$25 million. Responsibilities include interfacing with contractors, supervising other inspectors, completing daily reports, coordinating material sampling and testing, and monitoring traffic maintenance. Candidates must have 7 years of applicable experience and a high school diploma.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 7 years applicable experience
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.
  • Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite.
  • NETTCP HMA certifications, or ability to attain within 3-months of hiring.
  • Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam.
