Job Summary
The Senior Paving Construction Inspector will oversee urban and rural pavement rehabilitation projects valued at $1-$25 million. Responsibilities include interfacing with contractors, mentoring fellow inspectors, completing daily reports, coordinating material sampling, monitoring traffic maintenance, and documenting daily project progress. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, seven years of related experience, strong communication skills, and ability to read plans. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in a related field, MS WORD proficiency, and construction management software experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 7 years applicable experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications
- Valid driver's license
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety
Desired Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field
- Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite
- NETTCP HMA certifications or ability to attain within 3-months of hiring
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
