Job Summary
Paving Foreman leads field operations for a paving and excavating crew in York, PA. Responsible for overseeing production, equipment and job-site workflow to meet project specifications and deadlines. Conduct daily briefings based on work orders, review project plans, assign tasks to laborers and equipment operators, and lead daily safety meetings (toolbox talks). Perform pre-shift inspections on pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators and related machinery; coordinate material orders with local plants. Ensure quality control and OSHA compliance while maintaining effective communication with the Project Manager or Superintendent to keep work on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Previous asphalt paving experience desired
- Equipment operation & troubleshooting
- Quality control & attention to detail
- Communication & problem-solving
- Time management & productivity
- Computer literacy or ability to navigate a computer
