Job Summary
Operate the paver and other heavy equipment to spread and level hot mix paving material on driveways, streets, and pathways. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks, preheat the screed, and monitor asphalt mixture temperatures. Align the machine into position, control the hopper and auger, and smooth the asphalt to the desired height, width, and depth. Train new employees in safe operation and perform other duties as assigned. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and willingness to travel to different job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Clean motor-vehicle record
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance
- Willingness to travel to different job sites and projects
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment and random drug testing
- Willingness to be subject to background check
