Job Summary
Lead a 1–3 technician pavement maintenance crew on commercial projects across the Richmond metro; responsible for site setup, directing tasks, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring on-time project delivery. You’ll train and develop technicians, communicate with Operations Lead, supervise equipment operation (sealcoat systems, line stripers, and related gear), perform site walkthroughs before/after jobs, manage traffic control and material prep, and maintain a safe, organized job site while upholding quality and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical aptitude with pavement services, and clear communication to guide the crew and report status.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience in a trade, construction, landscaping, pavement, or similar hands-on field role
- Prior experience leading or directing others on a job site
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a truck and trailer
- Physical capability to perform demanding outdoor work including lifting up to 75 lbs, walking, bending, and working in variable weather conditions
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- High attention to detail and self-direction
