Job Summary
Pavement Engineer role based in Burnside, Christchurch or Penrose, Auckland, responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose pavement design solutions across projects; provide technical advice on pavement materials, construction and maintenance; support field assessments, investigations and post-construction evaluations; contribute to tender submissions with practical engineering input; conduct field inspections to assess pavement integrity; provide construction phase support to ensure quality outcomes; promote the pavement engineering team's capability; champion safety and wellbeing; requires tertiary civil engineering qualification and Chartered status or progress toward it, with experience in pavement materials, construction, and maintenance; role emphasizes safety, quality, and delivery with opportunities for growth within Fulton Hogan, NZ.
Required Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or related discipline
- Experience in pavement materials, construction and/or maintenance
- Solid understanding of pavement engineering principles
- Chartered Professional Engineer status, or working towards it
- Collaborative approach and confidence working with a range of teams
- Curious mindset with drive to learn and improve
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery
