Job Summary
Engineer garments balancing aesthetics, comfort, and manufacturability while optimizing patterns for efficient production. Participate in all fit sessions, execute precise corrections, and partner with the Fit Team to enhance durability and cost efficiency. Maintain consistent fit standards across categories by collaborating on prototype evaluation, communicating with overseas factories to resolve challenges, and building master blocks. Review factory patterns to ensure consistency with TNB standards and help establish best practices for men's and women's product lines. Improve fit consistency season after season and identify opportunities to streamline development while maintaining premium quality.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional pattern making experience within premium apparel
- Extensive experience in both men's and women's ready-to-wear
- Strong background across knitwear, wovens, outerwear, bottoms, and dresses
- Experience creating patterns from concept through production
- Deep understanding of garment construction and manufacturing techniques
- Experience working directly with overseas factories
- Strong grading knowledge
- Exceptional understanding of garment balance, ease, proportion, and fit
- Knowledge of industrial sewing methods and factory construction techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Gerber AccuMark or similar proficiency strongly preferred
- Experience with Lectra or similar CAD systems considered
