Job Summary
Patroller needed for Big White Ski Resort season 2026–27. Responsibilities include providing on-snow first aid to guests and staff, conducting incident investigations, risk-management support, maintaining slope safety, performing opening/closing procedures, operating snowmobiles, executing search and rescue missions, supporting avalanche control, and serving as a frontline guest ambassador. Must have 80+ hour first aid certification (AFA/OFA Level 3, WFR, EMR/PCP or higher, Australian/New Zealand certifications) and strong skiing or snowboarding ability, plus excellent communication and teamwork. Schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off with 10-hour shifts; wage $20.50–$23.50/hr with an additional $0.50/hr after training logbook completion; equipment/first aid allowances and seasonal bonuses offered. Location: Big White Ski Resort, Kelowna, BC, Canada. Remote option: on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Valid 80+ hour first aid certification (AFA/OFA Level 3, WFR, EMR/PCP or higher, Australian Ski Patrol Association Certification, New Zealand PHEC)
- Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Big White Ski Resort (asset)
