Job Summary
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols alone to maintain general security of assigned property and detect unauthorized activities. Respond to emergency calls for medical, fire, and property damage while utilizing a smartphone to maintain Daily Activity, Incident, and Facility Maintenance Reports. Possess and maintain a valid State Guard Registration, Baton Permit, Exposed Firearm Permit, and Pepper Spray Certification, using your own firearm and gear. Demonstrate positive customer service skills, professional grooming, and the ability to read, write, and carry out written orders. Work 32 hours weekly on Saturday-Sunday or Tuesday-Wednesday shifts, starting at $20.50 per hour, with paid vacation, sick time, medical, dental, vision, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with NO violations within the past 3 years
- Must own your own firearm and gear
- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
- Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
- Must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- Must possess a current Pepper Spray Certification
- Must possess a current CPR or First Aid Certification
- Previous patrol security experience
- Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions
- Ability to write and understand English
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks
- Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
- Reliable transportation
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Able to pass a drug test and background check
- Must be in good physical shape
- High attention to detail
