Job Summary
Conduct interior and exterior inspections of assigned facilities, parking lots, and access devices to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. Operate a vehicle to perform patrols, alarm responses, and incident reporting while maintaining communication with appropriate personnel. Check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized persons; respond to rapid response needs and escort clients as assigned. Process incident reports in a timely manner and comply with federal, state, and municipal regulations. Maintain equipment inventories and serviceability. Work Monday through Wednesday from 5:00pm to 1:00am and Thursday through Friday from 10:00pm to 6:00am. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and one year of security experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be a US Citizen or an Alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass State & Federal background checks and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license, pass Motor Vehicle Record Check, and maintain appropriate driving record
- Must successfully complete GSSC Basic Training
- One year of Security experience
- Ability to meet and maintain applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), administrative, customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
- Ability to project a professional and positive attitude while maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook Teams and PowerPoint
- Must be able to push, pull or drag and adult to safety from hazardous situations
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time, while frequently safely entering and exiting the motor vehicle
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
