Job Summary
Safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from departments including Medical/Surgical, Perioperative Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitation, Clinics, and Laboratory. Deliver and retrieve medical equipment, patient supplies, office supplies, and departmental materials as assigned. Complete and manage transportation documentation accurately while following established department procedures and safety guidelines. Support Diagnostic Imaging and other departments during downtime by assisting with receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, patient registration, answering multi-line phones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required upon hire and maintained throughout employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of medical office experience

- Bilingual English/Spanish skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, providers, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to become proficient within six months in Meditech, Galactica, PACS, Allscripts EHR/ED, Picom, Kronos, and HealthStream, while demonstrating safe patient transfer techniques and adherence to established protocols
