Job Summary
Provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families, delivering interventions to maintain safety for those with mental and behavioral health challenges. Work in a fast-paced environment managing patients experiencing various behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness. Maintain patient safety across a variety of settings while adhering to a rotating night shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. over 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. Requires Basic Life Support on hire and Safety Care certification within three months.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- At least one (1) year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children
- Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire
- Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to provide interventions to maintain safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges
- Ability to work with patients that are experiencing a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness
- Night Shift - 12 hours 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. - rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention
- Experience working with children or adolescents - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings
- American Sign Language Skills
