Job Summary
Provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families while maintaining safety for individuals with mental and behavioral health challenges across various settings. Intervene with patients experiencing behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. This 0.6 day shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including weekends. Required credentials include Basic Life Support on hire and Safety Care certification within three months. Compensation ranges from $23.15 to $34.73 per hour for full-time equivalent hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- At least one (1) year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children
- Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire
- Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to provide interventions to maintain safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges
- Ability to work with patients that are experiencing a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness
- Schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. including weekends
- Position located on main campus
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention
- HIGHLY PREFERRED Experience working with children or adolescents
- Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings
- American Sign Language Skills
