Job Summary
Provide transport service for patients throughout the institution, supporting all multidisciplinary patient care departments. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety days of hire and keep it current thereafter. Be available for weekends, holidays, and various AM/PM shifts. Complete mandatory background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. High School Diploma or GED required; one year hospital experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety (90) days of hire which must be maintained thereafter
- availability for weekends, holidays and other shifts
Desired Qualifications
- demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- experience in customer service/relations-related positions, preferably within the healthcare or hospitality setting
- amiable personality and a willing and cooperative attitude
- demonstrated use appropriate customer service skills and judgment when in contact with patients, the public, and other staff members
- One year hospital experience
