Job Summary
Transport patients and patient-related items throughout the Medical Center and surrounding facilities, including LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Operate push/pull gurneys, wheelchairs, and beds while maintaining dexterity to hold charts. Communicate clearly to gather and dispense information, read/write legibly, and use office equipment like computers, printers, and software programs. Work calmly under pressure, prioritize workload, and solve problems independently with minimal supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and complete required training by the end of the introductory period.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Must successfully complete training by the end of the introductory period
- Able to speak clearly to gather/dispense information
- Use push/pull gurneys or wheelchairs or beds
- Use good hand and eye coordination
- Maintain finger dexterity to hold charts, etc.
- Able to read, write legibly
- Speak in English with professional quality
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
- Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure

Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred
