Job Summary
Per Diem Patient Transporter duties at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center include transporting patients within the facility, escorting patients from admitting area to designated locations, carrying patient luggage, assisting walking to prevent falls or transporting non-ambulatory patients using wheelchairs or beds/wheeled carts, delivering messages and medical records, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Candidates must be 16 or older and able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; valid working papers if 16 or 17. CPR certification is preferred. Starting rate is reflected for the role as a per diem position with variable hours, including every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment
- read, write and speak English
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- exposure to extreme cold and extreme heat and stands for long periods, bends, lifts, pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs
- Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers)
- If 16 or 17 years-old valid working papers required
- Relevant Experience: CPR certification preferred
