Job Summary
Transports patients to/from patient rooms and the Radiology Department, assists in transferring patients between beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers, and maintains gurneys and wheelchairs. Works with Radiologic Technologists to move patients on/off X-Ray tables, supports CQI initiatives, attends staff meetings and participates in orientation and training of new personnel. Adheres to hospital policies and compliance programs, promotes service excellence to staff and patients, and supports the division’s mission and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS Certification through AHA required
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous transporter or CNA experience in a hospital or nursing home preferred
