Patient Transporter

Escort and transport patients within the facility, picking up and delivering materials and equipment to various hospital areas. Operate transport equipment and elevators while ensuring oxygen tanks are secured and cleaning transportation gear per infection control protocols. Track assignments in the patient transport system, report defective equipment, and provide interim basic life support for airway management or cardiac arrests until the code team arrives. Transfer deceased patients to the morgue and assist clinical staff with patient lifting. Recognize cardio-pulmonary distress symptoms and report changes in patient status during transport.
