Job Summary
Transport patients and residents between inpatient beds, ancillary departments, and other areas while retrieving medical records and prescriptions. Remove and replace medical devices, assist with lifting patients to gurneys or wheelchairs, and perform minor maintenance on transportation tools. Document all activities, request additional maintenance as needed, and handle discharge processing for inpatient rooms. Comply with health, safety, and security guidelines while familiarizing yourself with medical terms and equipment. Part-time schedule with 24 weekly hours. Basic Life Support certification required within six months. High school diploma or CNA certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six weeks of employment and must be maintained
- If working in North Dakota, required to register with the North Dakota Department of Health as a nursing aide within four months of hire
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) preferred
- Registered with the North Dakota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Aide preferred
